EN: I have been craving a pair of wide leg pants in black&white plaid for a very long time and this pattern is ideal for plaids and/or stripes because the legs are perfectly straight. They are also very easy to sew with only three pattern pieces: the front, the back and the pocket bag. I cut front and back from the plaid using a single layer layout so I could cut one side and then flip it over and place it on top of the fabric matching the plaids in order to cut its perfect symmetrical. I also cut the inner pocket bags from the plaid, and cut the outer pocket bags from lining. I tried to avoid any dominant horizontal plaid line on the upper edge of the pants and on the hem. I placed two dominant vertical lines next to each pleat on the front, so the flat section of the front would not get any dominant vertical lines:

PT: Já andava a querer umas calças largas de xadrez em preto e branco há bastante tempo e este molde é ideal para xadrez e/ou riscas poque as pernas são retas. O molde também é muito fácil de confecionar, com apenas três peças: as costas, a frente e o fundo do bolso. Cortei frente e costas no tecido singelo (não dobrado) para depois poder usar a peça cortada virada ao contrário sobre o tecido, alinhando os quadrados, para conseguir o seu perfeito simétrico. Também cortei a fundura interior do bolso no tecido aos quadrados, mas a fundura exterior foi cortada de tecido de forro. No corte da frente, tentei evitar linhas horizontais dominantes (mais largas) na borda do cós e bainhas, evitando também verticais dominantes na parte lisa que fica entre as pregas:
