Last 2016 finished garment: Vogue 1527 view B (Paco Peralta for Vogue tie collar blouse) - 2016#42

EN Summary: HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! My last 2016 garment is this delicate silk blouse that completes the V1527 garment set along with the long tuxedo jacket and the calf-length skirt with front overlap. I wore this set for New Year's Eve dinner but couldn't take decent photos without natural light, so I will try to photograph the full outfit again today and update this post with a link to my personal style blog later. PT Sumário: FELIZ ANO NOVO a todos! A minha última realização de 2016 foi esta blusa delicada de seda que completa o conjunto V1527, juntamente com a jaqueta smoking comprida e a saia pelo tornozelo com sobreposição na frente. Fiz o conjunto para usar no jantar de Ano Novo, mas infelizmente não consegui fotos decentes sem luz natural, por isso o plano é fotografar o look hoje e depois atualizar este artigo com um link para o meu blogue de estilo pessoal. Two skirts: Paco Peralta for Vogue (V1527 view C) and another BCN-Unique APRON skirt (2016#40 & #41)

EN Summary: With my total of 5 meters (5.5 yards) of double-face twill-crepe wool I was able to make the Long Tuxedo Jacket (V1527 view A) – click here for the sewing review - the calf-length skirt with front overlap (V1527 view C) and I was capable of squeezing in another APRON skirt, again playing with the different textures of the fabric. V1527A (Paco Peralta Long Tuxedo Jacket): the sleeves (sewing, lining, setting in the sleeve) – As mangas (confeção, forro e aplicação na cava)

As mangas de duas peças com abertura falsa (uma abertura confecionada seguindo um método industrial que resulta num acabamento perfeito) são costuradas e forradas em separado e só depois serão cosidas na cava. V1527 view A (the Long Tuxedo Jacket): lining the body of the jacket - Forrar o corpo da jaqueta

EN Summary: The way this jacket is lined is a bit unconventional and I thought I should demonstrate my process which differs a little from the instructions because the lining is entirely stitched to the jacket by machine and the front bottom edge corners and bottom vent corners are also finished differently. I also found another glitch in the instructions, regarding the construction of the back vent on the lining. This post is photo heavy and rather technical, but hopefully it will all make sense in the end. Keep on reading.

PT Sumário: A forma como se forra esta jaqueta é pouco convencional e achei que podia mostrar aqui o meu processo, que difere um pouco do explicado nas instruções. O forro foi completamente cosido à máquina na jaqueta e também fiz o acabamento dos cantos inferiores da frente e da racha de forma diferente. Encontrei outra falha nas instruções, desta vez na construção do forro no topo da racha. The fabric I'm using behaved beautifully but is really hard to photograph, yet I wanted to show the construction details of the collar inset because it's one of the challenging sewing details found in this pattern. PT Sumário: Hoje é feriado em Portugal e adivinharam bem, passei uma boa parte do dia na costura: consegui completar as frentes da jaqueta e já tenho as costas adiantadas também.
