Descrição: Calções muito simples com cós direito aplicado, ajustados por pinças e com fecho na lateral. O modelo foi tirado de uma das minhas Burda Internacionais dos anos 90:
O modelo é mostrado com uma sobre-saia e um top a condizer, ao estilo próprio do final dos anos 80 (lembram-se todas da Madona nesses tempos, certo?):
Modificações: Como a napa não aguenta bem o calor do ferro necessário para colar entretela, fiz o cós de cetim preto. Quase não se nota e até se torna mais confortável a usar.
Conclusão: queria uns calções pretos simples, com o cós alto Na linha real da cintura ou um pouco acima), que não fossem demasiado curtos e lembrei-me deste modelo que já tinha confeccionado em sarja preta nos anos 90 e que usei até à exaustão na altura. São rápidos e fáceis de fazer!
Nota interessante: Algumas de vocês queixam-se das novas folhas de moldes da revista Burda (passaram a colocar os moldes todos numa folha, em vez das duas que costumavam vir, e agora os traçados estão mais sobrepostos); vejam como eram as folhas de moldes há alguns anos:
Para complicar, os tamanhos não estavam todos escalados, como agora, o que dificultava a tarefa de fazer alterações se a pessoa não tivesse as mesmas proporções especificadas para os tamanhos dos moldes.

De acordo com as regras tenho de falar de dez coisas sobre mim e nomear dez blogues,… Esta última parte não vou fazer, pois para mim todos os meus leitores merecem este prémio.
1 – A minha cor favorita é o vermelho; embora não seja a cor que uso mais, é a cor que me faz sentir mais “viva” e igual a mim própria…
2 – Trabalho na indústria de telecomunicações, neste momento a fazer testes de serviços de Redes Inteligentes e, antes disso, a desenvolver os mesmo serviços.
3 – Sou apaixonada e impulsiva, e também posso ser muito obstinada e teimosa.
4 – Detesto sentir-me encurralada e sem opções.
5 – Gosto muito de animais; o meu primeiro gato chamava-se Lili porque pensei que fosse uma gata… Quando descobri que era um gato já foi tarde para lhe mudar o nome!
6 – Sou muito apegada às minhas coisas e tenho dificuldade em separar-me delas… Fazem parte de mim.
7 – Angustia-me a falta de tempo, o querer fazer mais e não conseguir…
8 – Prefiro ir às compras sozinha, porque em geral se tenho alguém comigo, ou está sempre a apressar-me ou então a fazer-me esperar. Existem excepções (algumas amigas), mas são poucas.
9 – Por agora não me consigo lembrar de mais nada (além de ter uma camisa meia por acabar à minha espera na sala de costura)… Oito coisas vão ter de chegar! Fiquem bem e MUITO OBRIGADA pelos vossos comentários na entrada anterior! xoxo
Description: Plain darted shorts with applied waistband and side zipper. The pattern is from one of my treasured Burda Internationals from the early nineties:
The model Picture show us the shorts worn with an over-skirt and a matching top, this style was typical of the late eighties, early nineties (we remember Madona back in the days, right?)
Alterations: Since the pleather doesn’t stand the heat of the iron during the fusing process, I used black satin (the medium weight kind) for the waistband. The shorts also gained in comfort with this alteration.
Conclusion: I wanted some plain black shorts, slightly high waisted and not too short and these filled the bill; I remember making these same shorts in the nineties using black cotton fabric and wearing them until exhaustion for the years that follow.
Interesting NOTE: Some of you may complain now about Burdastyle’s pattern sheets (since a few months back they are printing all the patterns on a single pattern sheet instead of two); so here’s how the pattern sheets look like back in the nineties:
Adding to the “mess”, patterns weren’t graded by size on the pattern sheet, so the different sizes weren’t adjacent like they are now, making it much more difficult to alter patterns if your body measurement proportions didn’t correspond to a single size!

According to the rules I have to say tem things about me and nominate tem more bloggers… I will skip the nomination part, for me all my readers deserve this award!
1 – My favorite color is red; in spite of not being the color that I wear the most, it’s the one which makes me feel more alive.
2 – I work in the Telecommunications Industry; at the moment I’m testing Intelligent Networks Services and before that I was developing those same services.
3 – I am passionate and impulsive, and also very stubborn and anal retentive at times.
4 – I hate feeling cornered and without options.
5 – I love animals; my first cat was called Lili because I thought he was a female… When I found out otherwise, it was too late to change his name.
6 – I grow attached to my things and have a hard time letting them go.
7 – The lack of time anguishes me, I hate when I want to do more and I can’t.
8 – I prefer to go shopping alone; usually my shopping buddy is either rushing me or slowing me down. There are a few exceptions though (a couple of my girlfriends are excellent shopping buddies).
9 – I can’t think of anything else right now (and there’s a halfway done shirt waiting for me at the sewing studio)… Eight things about me will have to suffice for now! THANK YOU ALL so much for the nice comments on my previous entry! xoxo
