EN: Going forward with my coordinates set, I decided to continue using DP Studio patterns and fabrics and made a pair of carrot pants using the pattern Le305 (Jules pants). This pattern was initially an exclusive of the So Chic Box kits (I purchased and sewed one of the Jules So Chic Box and you can check my sewing review here), yet the pattern has become available solo in both printed and digital formats on DP Studio's website.
The pattern description reads: "Both chic and relaxed, these trousers have a lot of appeal with their original pleats on the front that start from the top of the waistband. In terms of volume, these are carrot pants, that is to say full at the top and tapered at the bottom. The fullness is created by the front pleats that are given extra hold by a zigzag stitch tack a few centimeters from the edge. There are slanted side pockets at the front and a piped pocket with a flap on the right back. An invisible zipper is placed on the left side. The trousers can be made in either sporty fabrics or more chic ones depending on the style aimed at."

PT: Prosseguindo com o conjunto de coordenados, decidi manter-me nos moldes e tecidos DP Studio e fazer um par de calças cigarette com o molde Le305 (calças Jules), que inicialmente era exclusivo dos kits So Chic Box (comprei um destes kits que podem ver confecionado clicando aqui) mas que agora já se encontra à venda em separado no site DP Studio, tanto no formato impresso como digital.
Na descrição do mold epode ler-se (tradução livre): "Chiques e relaxadas ao mesmo tempo, estas calças seduzem pelas pregas originais na frente que iniciam no topo do cós. Em termos de volume, são calças "cenoura", quer dizer, amplas em cima e afuniladas em baixo. O volume é criado por pregas mantidas por mosquetes em ponto ziguezague uns centímetros abaixo do topo. As calças têm bolsos inclinados na anca e um bolso avivado com paleta nas costas do lado direito. Na costura lateral esquerda tem um fecho invisível. Estas calças podem ser confecionadas com tecidos desportivos ou mais chiques, dependendo do estilo que se pretende."
EN: I cut size 42 with a slight crotch alteration because of my fuller thighs (check the alteration tutorial in my previous sewing review here). This simple pattern alteration made the pants look much more flattering on me. I also used a different cutting layout than suggested; the instructions preconize a sigle fabric layer cutting layout but the extra wide fabric (63" wide) made it possible to use a double layer quite easily. The waist facing (the large rectangle on the top left) can be cut twice instead of once on a single layer and the extra layer used to cut the shorter outer waistband pieces, which are the same width. The fabric is a lovely salmon pink 100% cotton, medium weight and very soft to the touch, purchased at 60% discount from DP Studio during their last sale event.

PT: Cortei o tamanho 42 com uma alteração no gancho por causa de ter coxas grossas... Podem ver os detalhes da alteração a que me refiro no artigo da primeira versão que fiz deste molde (clicar aqui). Esta alteração é muito simples e faz com que as calças me assentem muito melhor. Além da alteração também usei um plano de corte diferente do sugerido, que é com o tecido estendido sem dobrar; como este tecido em particular tem 160cm de largura, consegui fazer um bom aproveitamento com um plano de corte sobre o tecido dobrado, como se pode ver na foto. A vista do cós (retângulo estreito e longo que se vê no topo esquerdo) é para cortar apenas uma vez, mas com a parte extra do tecido dobrado é possível depois cortar as partes exteriores do cós que têm a mesma largura mas são menos compridas. O tecido é um magnífico algodão 100% em rosa-salmão, com peso médio e muito macio ao toque. Compreii-o com 60% de desconto nos últimos saldos DP Studio.
EN: Here are the finished pants seen from the front; without the crotch alteration, there would be some diagonal draglines... The crotch is pretty deep but its curve is too narrow for me on the original pattern.

PT: Podem ver a parte frontal das calças terminadas abaixo; sem a alteração que fiz no gancho, iriam aparecer umas engelhas inestéticas na zona da virilha, pois embora o cós seja bastante baixo, a sua curva é demasiado estreita para mim.
EN: The front piece extends above the waistline starting at the top of the hip pocket, which makes it possible to create the pleats extending into the waistband area (the outer waistband ends at the pocket opening). Inside there's am all-in-one waistband facing without the pleating. It's a very ingenious feature, and these details are one of the main reasons I love DP Studio's patterns so much.

PT: A parte da frente extende-se para cima como parte do cós a partir do canto superior do bolso, o que torna possível formar as pregas desde cima (as peças separadas do cós exterior só vão até ao inicio do bolso). A peça da vista do cós já é inteira e não tem pregas. É um detalhe engenhoso e são detalhes como este que me fazem gostar tanto dos moldes DP Studio.

I still have some fabric left from the blouse and pants (I need to come up with something to do with these remnants) but I feel like moving on to making a jacket using a different type of fabric... PT: Fiquei super-contente com o resultado! Ainda me sobrou tecido, tanto das calças como da blusa e vou arranjar maneira de não o desperdiçar, mas entretanto apetece-me continuar com o tema e fazer uma jaqueta, usando outro tecido... Só tenho de decidir o molde a usar,...
