EN: The fabric is a viscose measuring a little more than 1 yard in length with two large scarf-like rectangles side by side. I knew it would turn into some kind of straight cut top so I could take advantage of the print; when I saw this pattern featured in the May 2020 Burdastyle magazine, I knew I had a winner. I was able to take advantage of the square print and still add an interesting construction detail to the mix: the stand collar with ruched effect on the front.

PT: O tecido é uma viscose com pouco mais de 1 metro de comprimento e com dois retângulos grandes estampado lenço lado a lado. Sabia que teria de fazer um top simples a direito para poder tirar partido do estampado, e quando vi este modelo na revista Burdastyle de Maio, soube logo que tinha o molde ideal; além de evidenciar o estampado ainda tinha este detalhe interessante, a pequena gola em pé com detalhe franzido na frente.
EN: At first I thought the collar has some kind of elastic casing, but it is not the case; the front panel extends into a standing collar, which is gathered (using two parallel rows of long loose tension stitches) stitched and top-stitched at the collar width to the inner collar facing. There's no seam at the shoulders; the back panel extends over the shoulders to the front, hence the raglan-kind of cut on the front alone.

EN: It's a fairly easy top to match my blue pant-suit and a good "palate cleanser" to all the tailoring, lol. I do recommend the pattern and I believe it would also look good in a solid color and fabrics like silk satin, for example.

PT: É um top razoavelmente fácil de confecionar e que condiz com o fato azul,... Ótimo para "limpar o palato" de toda a alfaiataria anterior, hahaha! Recomendo este molde e acho que também ficaria muto bem num tecido liso, por exemplo cetim de seda, porque não?

Your fabric makes the top look so different (in a good way). I have also made a version of this by repurposing fabric from an old RTW dress.
