Continuem a ler o artigo completo.

EN: My husband has gifted me ten DP Studio patterns for Christmas, so you'll be probably hearing a lot about this pattern brand on this blog from now on. I already owned the Le302 (scroll down to the end to see the line-drawing for this pattern) and I had planned to sew it along with the matching blazer Le100; my Christmas break will provide me the opportunity to do just that. For this pant suit I have chosen to use medium weight black denim (98% cotton, 2% Lycra) and I decided to start with the pants. In the pattern page you'll find the instructions (the link is identified as "explanatory panel") but I spotted a few differences and decided to show my process here.

The front pieces are cut, darts are closed, fly-front extensions are interfaced, pocket openings are stabilized with on-grain fusible tape and all edges but the waistline and pocket openings are overcasted (serged). Keep in mind that the pattern includes 3/8" seam allowances unless otherwise stated.

EN: The pocket bags are prepared as seen below; pocket facings are stitched to outer pocket bags (lining) and inner pocket bags (denim) have the pocket opening marked (thread-traced):
---
EN: The outer pocket bag is placed on top of the pants front along the pocket opening line, right sides facing;
---
EN: The pocket edge is stitched at 3/8", pivoting at the bottom corner; clip to the bottom corner:
---
EN: The seam allowances are pressed towards the pocket facing and under-stitched:
---
EN: Turn the outer pocket bags to the wrong side and press; place the inner pocket bags (denim) on top, aligning the pocket opening edge with the thread-traced line:
---
EN: Stitch the pocket bags together along edges and overcast; pin the top of the bags along the waistline and pin front and pocket bags together at sides:
---
EN: Next tutorial will be about swing the front-fly zipper opening so stay tuned!
---

EN: As a last note, French magazine Modes et Travaux has issued a special magazine featuring 13 DP Studio original designs, with full patterns ranging from size 36 through 48! If you get the chance, get it because it's a great deal! I already asked a French friend to get me one exemplar, just in case!
---
Aproveitem!
