Continuem a ler o artigo completo!

EN: The pattern is described as "Semi-fitted jumpsuit has sleeves gathered into buttoned cuffs, front invisible zipper closure, front side pockets, back welt pocket and self-belt". The recommended fabrics are Silk Shantung, Crepe de Chine and rayon blends, yet I couldn't help noticing another version of this jumpsuit, now sold out in stores, made of indigo (check it out here). For my dressed-down version I decided to use  a very lightweight 100% cotton denim from the Portuguese website of the German retailer Stoffe.de. I bought this fabric more than a year ago thinking of this pattern but it didn't make to my sewing table back then.
---
EN: Here's the side and back view of my finished jumpsuit; as you can see I opted for altering the sleeves into shorter ones, in spite of the sleeve design playing a big part in the allure of this design,... With this type of fabric I was afraid the jumpsuit wouldn't be as summery with long sleeves and I was also afraid of wrinkling the puffy sleeves in case of wearing a cover-up for work.
---
EN: For the belt I salvaged the metal parts of an old belt and I think it turned out really well:
---
EN: Here you can see what I did with the sleeve pattern: I shortened it keeping the sleeve cap as in the original model (half-raglan with a top dart and little to no set-in ease), yet I rounded the hem a bit:
---
EN: Here's the back single-welt pocket, outside and inside views; the instructions will deliver this clean finish with all the seams encased in french seams:
---

EN: The side hip pockets are also very clean finished; again all seams are french seams, including the seams of the leg of the pants. The waist seam is bound with bias tape and I also used it to bind the edges of the facings and the allowances of the invisible zipper:
---

EN: The armhole seams and the crotch seam are flat-felled (the instructions mention using the bias tape to clean finish the armhole seams but I believe flat-felled seams are less bulky). The center back seam on the bodice was also stitched as a french seam but later I top-stitched it to one side, to make it even with the crotch seam on the back:
---
CONCLUSION: A very nice jumpsuit in my opinion, fits me really well straight out of the envelope and looks great on! What more could a gal ask for? Thank you all for reading!
---
CONCLUSÃO: Um macacão muito bonito, na minha opinião, que me serviu sem alterações e que me assenta na perfeição! O que mais poderia desejar? Obrigada a todos por lerem!
