Quero uma bolsa Dublin! - I want a Dublin Bag!

Português
English (uncheck the other box and check this one)

O bastante para me convencer a fazer o meu!

I am completely overwhelmed by this bag! It’s called “The Dublin Bag” by Gerard Darel and its price (a few hundred dollars) was enough to convince me to try making my own Dublin bag!

After a few Google searches I found out about a few Brazilian blogs whose authors made knockoffs of this bag and at least Jane (Crochet-By-Jane blog) published a detailed how-to. Her photo gallery contains several photos of the original bag, along with detailed progress photos on the making of a Dublin bag knockoff. The only set back now is finding some of the bag making materials I need… I’ve already found the closure magnets on eBay (maybe I can find them locally too) but I suspect the bag handles will be a problem (as a last resource I will “Frankenstein” a pair of handles from an old or cheap bag).

I leave you with more photos and a few links!

I love your blog! I found it through Stitcher's Guild... Is there a way to get it to into Google Reader in English?

Sarah: Thank you and welcome to Couture et Tricot! I believe you can read the English version of my posts if you scroll down on GoogleReader, as long as you've subscribed the complete feed. I use google reader and I've tested just that.

Hi Tany. Let me know if you need me to send over some of those magnetic snaps - I'm sure they have them in my local sewing shop. Also can I suggest www.u-handbag.com for the leather handles. Can't wait to see your version!

Bom trabalho!

Would you be able to translate the instructions to English or Spanish. I would love the pattern!

I want to make one also, I downloaded the instructions in from Crochet by Jane, I think I can figure it out from the diagram, but I can't figure out the puffy ball stitch. would you be able to translate the stiches marked X and J into english? Or refer me to an online description of this stitch? Thank you so much
