EN: I used a mustard yellow polo knit from my stash (moderate stretch but with a beautiful drape) and I think it is absolutely ideal for this design. The top is quite lose-fitting: notice the gathers/fulness distribution is even across the back while on the front it is concentrated on the sides; also notice the narrower waistband on the back, while on the front it is wider with a rounded upwards shape. It's quite well balanced in my opinion:

When looking at the patter the neckline seemed like a close fitting round neckline but after the facing is applied, its final shape as worn id of a boat neckline. This is due to the way the pattern was manipulated to add fullness from the top down (slash and spread method).

This is an amazingly engineered design and therefore quite intriguing to the sewist. It is beautiful, Tany. So pretty and also timeless due to it's unique design. Love it.
