EN Summary: This is the final review of the prince of wales pleated cropped pants, the model featured on the cover of the August 2016 BurdaStyle (Portuguese edition). I've covered some of the construction techniques used on my previous post (click here) and now I'm wrapping up and showing the final details. On the photo above I'm also wearing the matching top, which will be the subject of a future review. Keep reading for the complete article!

Continuem a ler o texto completo!

Pattern: BurdaStyle 08/2016 model 111 (I cut size 40)

---
Molde: BurdaStyle 08/2016 modelo 111 (cortei o tamanho 40)
Description: Pleated pants with tapered legs have shaped waistband with a single large belt-carrier, side-slanted hip pockets, fly-front zipper and a self-fabric straight belt which folds into a bow through the carrier. I wouldn't advise this pattern for someone with large hips or tummy, because it adds some volume to the front.

Fabric used: Prince of Wales large plaid woven (viscose blend).

Modifications: Shortened the leg (2") so the hem sits right above the ankle on me. Interlined the front of the pants (above the knee) to minimize wearing wrinkles. Bound the edges of the waist facing and fly-front zip facing with Hug Snug tape (I forgot to take photos, will update the post later ETA to add photo).

Alterações: Encurtei as pernas 5cm para a bainha me assentar acima do tornozelo.

Conclusion: I REALLY love the pants and I must say that I was afraid I wouldn't like them in the end, mostly because of the added volume on the front. The truth is they are very comfortable, don't wrinkle at all and judging from the number of compliments received today, I think they are really flattering on me. I will definitely save this pattern for another round!
Note: you can read about the techniques used in the construction of the pants on my previous post (here). I will post more photos of me wearing the pants on Tany et La Mode but in the meanwhile hop over there and see me wearing the BCN Unique's TREKY top and APRON skirt (click here)!
Thank you all for reading!

Perfection!

This is the 2nd pair of pants from this pattern I've seen and it's so pretty.

I can't get away with that pleating/volume but I think I will 'borrow' :) their bow belt idea on my TNT pant with a wide waistband.

They look amazing on you.

these look so great and your plaid matching is superb. I think you will be able to wear these pants with lots of different tops and jackets.

Your pants are fantastic - I love them! And the bow at the waist make them interesting and unique. Also, I love the photo of you. You are a more beautiful model of these pants than the Burda model!
