Fiquem bem e boas costuras!

What about a sneak peek on the completed Badgley Mischka pant suit?

And here are a few detail shots of the pants (sorry for the lousy pictures; I had to take them myself using the tripod and I didn’t have the time to take a few more to be able to pick the best ones,… So these will have to do for now):

The pants turned out quite well, though I must point out that they have a high waist; the waistband sits at the natural waist and not a little lower as some of us might prefer. The top that I’m wearing (better pics later) is BWOF012009 top 106B; I also made the dress version (106A) from a black/dark brown stable knit. Both will be shown together with the other Vanilla&Chocolate items on the final V&C post, which I intend to publish next weekend (I won’t have the time for taking better pictures of the entire collection until then). In the meanwhile here are a few shots of the top on the dressform:

The sleeve cuff detail:

The neckline: I decided to double-topstitch it and trim the facing close to the second row of topstitching; the reason was the slightly see-through knit fabric (yeap, you get that with ivory fabric): I could actually see the wide facing inside and I didn’t like it at all.

This top is very easy and quick to make, I highly recommend it! Happy Sewing everybody!
