Without further delay, my last knitting project is finished:
The shoulder vent is not as low as on the original model but I kind of like it like this:
This is a very easy project (see previous posts); anyone with enough knitting ability to make a scarf will be able to make this sweater come true.

Obrigada Filomena!
UPDATE: I just want to tell you about a knitting tip I got from a previous comment by Filomena; it's about making the button shank on knitted garments. Remember when I used a tooth pick on the trenchcoat? Filomena wrote a comment telling that for knitted garments the rule would be using the same needle to build the button shank. Thank you Filomena!

I haven't decided what to do next (knitting wise); I still have to finish my black crochet dress, which has been on hold until now.
Até breve!
See you soon!
I love when something has a whole new shape. It's great!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is so gorgeous! Is this pattern available in the states? I really love it. It looks fabulous on you!
ReplyDeleteThat's very cute, Tany!
ReplyDeleteA very nice sweater!

ReplyDeleteYour sweater is gorgeous and very classy!! I don't know how to knit - your talents are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being so sweet to me Tany - your comments always mean a lot! Hugs from Paris!!
This is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did a WONDERFUL job!
ReplyDeleteYour sweater turned out amazing! You look fantastic in it! You are an amazing knitter!
ReplyDeleteJinhos,
Obrigada a todas!
ReplyDeleteThank you all!
Crystal: I don't know if this pattern is available in the U.S., I bought it online from www.10pelotes.com, which is a french site. They provide international deliveries but they are expensive. I think they have the kit for this sweater available for sale but not the magazine anymore. It's a very easy sweater, I think you don't need the pattern to make it! It's just rectangles with a little shaping at the waist.
Alexia: Obrigada!!!
I love it - it's fantastic and look great on you!
ReplyDeleteWe must have similar tastes - this is definitely something I'd pick out to make for myself. The whole shoulder collar thing is really different and interesting.
Bom trabalho!
Tany - I'm so excited to see this finished - when you first blogged about it I rhought it was *fabulous* and couldn't wait to see it! It's wonderful beyond my wildest imagination.
ReplyDeleteMy 10 year old daughter Abby loves to knit - I think she will find this *very* inspirational! Phyllis
you have an awesome taste, what suits you and which colours!
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater on you! Any ideas about your next knitting project?
Hi Tini,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!
I have no idea yet, I would like to make a red bag to go with my organza blouse but I still haven't found the right pattern. I have lots of possibilities in mind for tops too, the mags Toya sent me are very inspiring and there is also the Fitted Knits book filled with great models!
I think I will give it a few days to decide, in the meanwhile I have my hands full with the organza blouse and the crochet dress!
Tany,
