And an excellent tutorial, too!

Cutting off the corners of the interfacing makes a difference, when you have think fabric and therefore strong interfacing. If it's a fine or soft interfacing on a fine fabric at least I don't see a difference. But I like to do it on thik woolen (winter)jackets or coats.

(I wonder whether it ever gets cold enough for that in Portugal?)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1707374644461378032.post-56648702591187185282007-07-28T09:52:00.000+01:002007-07-28T09:52:00.000+01:00Thank you all for the nice comments!Obrigada a tod...Thank you all for the nice comments!
Obrigada a todas pelos comentários!

Dawn: Thank you so much for your contribution! It makes things so much easier to see. Great tutorial as usual.

The sewing teacher in me cannot help but add that a shirt collar without a separate stand still usually has a stand built in. (And, Tany, I know you know this already, but for your beginner readers...) It's just all cut in one piece. Without the "stand", whether cut on or separate, the collar will lay flat, like a Peter Pan collar, rather than *stand* away from the shirt. LOL!

In fact, I have seen some patterns where a collar has an integrated stand and the stand portion is marked on the pattern and we are instructed to interface that portion differently than the rest of the collar.dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05106577421276201593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1707374644461378032.post-8464584373182744042007-07-27T21:58:00.000+01:002007-07-27T21:58:00.000+01:00Hola Tany:Thank you for the wellcome.Your blog ins...Hola Tany:

Thank you for the wellcome.

Your blog inspires me to make things better :)
I love visiting it!

Romina de MexicoAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1707374644461378032.post-74516059538282295332007-07-27T20:52:00.000+01:002007-07-27T20:52:00.000+01:00Olá Tany adorei o pap tá ficando lindo, um ótimo f...Olá Tany adorei o pap tá ficando lindo, um ótimo final de semana pra você.
Beijos,
AudreyAudreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15475749666675619669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1707374644461378032.post-22506832995028374772007-07-27T18:04:00.000+01:002007-07-27T18:04:00.000+01:00Great job of explaining.
