V1526A (Paco Peralta for Vogue: the jacket) - The final review (2016#35)

EN Summary: In this article I am sharing the finished details of this lovely jacket, along with my final thoughts on this pattern. The pants review will folow shortly, but in the meanwhile I went ahead and published photos of me wearing the complete V1526 set on Tany et La Mode (click here). Keep reading for all the finishing details!

EN: I've already introduced the pattern, fabrics, notions an interfacing techniques (click here) and also shared the more important construction details (click here) so all there is left now is to appreciate the finished product :). Let's start with the lining with its wearing ease pleat at the center back and the hanging loop:
---
EN: One of the details that really caught people's attention was the way the hem/facing lining intersection is finished:
---
EN: Another beautiful detail: the buttons and in-seam buttonholes, a signature detail in many of Paco Peralta's patterns:
---
EN: I simply love the way this pattern is engineered and how the seams intersect to build the dolman sleeve; the finishing must be absolutely flawless in this area:
---
EN: The inconspicuous in-seam pockets, another signature element from Paco:
---
EN: Paco and I have been friends for many years and I own practically every pattern of his independent brand BCN Unique Patterns (not to say all of them); each BCN Unique pattern comes with his personal label so I’m adding it to mine, because this jacket is truly his work as a couturier and tailor as I tried to follow his methods in addition to the pattern instructions.
---

Conclusion: What more is there to say? :D This is an advanced rated pattern, but from the three garments included, I find the jacket the more achievable for an intermediate sewist. If you chose your fabrics wisely and have some interfacing experience, I see no reason why not to have a go at this pattern. Enjoy the photos and don’t forget to visit me at Tany et La Mode for photos of the complete outfit! Thank you all so much for reading and joining along this sewing journey!
---

It's wonderful! I already admired the outfit on your other blog (where I can't comment). You certainly made Paco proud, your attention to all the details is a work of art in itself. In combination with his pattern definitely a couture piece.
