Without further ado (I’ve been running against the time here), here’s the yellow dress or the “Formula 1” dress, as Christina called it! I must say I really love this dress, it’s fresh, cute and stylish.

Conclusion: In spite of the apparent simplicity of this model, I must say there are some nice details built into it and it’s more time consuming than it may look. I am fully satisfied with the final result and I highly recommend this pattern!

The details are awesome. You are wonderful, and you look wonderful, too!

Good luck with everything... Your wish of 48 hours in a day is one I make very often, too. Ah well, that's because we both want to live our lives in the most intense way possible! I'm sure you'll understand what I mean. You and I have such similar ways of thinking, and feeling. (((hugs)))

Love all the details - and they are beautifully done (of course)! To be honest though, I don't think I could cope with the tie around my knees. I think it would drive me crazy...lol!

A cor é vibrante.

That is a fantastic summer dress, which suits you perfect.
If you want some more wearing ease at the hem you could replace part of the fabric made drawstring by sewing a piece of elastic at both ends, this way you get some more wearing ease when sitting without having to undo the knot at the drawstring.

I agree the dress is definitely chic and sporty. Great details.

That dress is so AWESOME!!! It looks fabulous on you and thank you so much for posting details on the construction techniques. They really help me in sewing BWOF.

Fabulous! I have to agree on this one - it looks simple, but there are a lot of little details and a lot of topstitching. Of course, yes, you've done a marvelous job, so all those little things add up to a great dress.

Nancy K said...

You're right, this dress is deceptively simple. The details make it. Beautifully executed. And I love that yelllow!

Karen said...

Beautiful. I wish BWOF would give us photos of the pattern details the way you do - a lot more patterns would get made up that way. I wasn't sure about this one in the magazine, but you've convinced me. And yes, your topstitching is immaculate.

AllisonC said...

Wow such fabulous details and perfectly executed as always. I love how you styled it the same way as the magazine. Now when is Formula 1 coming to your town??

:) e desculpe a intromissão. obrigado

Tany said...

Tany
