O que vem a seguir? - What's next?

My next planed garment would be my red organza blouse, but I'm still waiting for the notions ordered at www.clotilde.com to arrive. I got very thin needles for handsewing and red 120 Alterfil thread (a special thin thread which has a special coating that prevents seams from ripping on very shear fabrics). I'm not starting this project unless I'm completely geared up so if I don't get the pins/needles in time I will start another sewing project on the weekend and I'm reviewing the possibilities now.

My favorite pattern magazine until now is the BWOF 02/2007; I like most of the models featured and I can say for sure that this magazine will provide me with a lot of sewing patterns. All photos are courtesy of Burdamode.com.

Alternatives for my next project are (all from BWOF 02/2007):

A gabardina 106: é a alternativa mais provável neste momento e o meu modelo favorito nesta revista.
Trench coat 106: this one is my favorite so chances are that this may be the next in line:
There are a lot of spring dresses to choose from:

Dress 123: I like the simple stylelines and I think this dress could well be made from a solid fabric as well as a print.
Dress 124: this has a certain vintage look that appeals to me.
Dress 122: I like this wrap dress but I'm not sure about the sleeves… (this doesn't mean that I don't like the sleeves).
Dress 102: it's a nice summer dress, I like its style too.
(I’m all into dresses, I know…)

The new Patrones is also available for viewing online and I must say that I feel compelled to wait until this magazine is on sale before I decide what to do next (all images courtesy of EDIPRESSE IMSA).
Os meus modelos favoritos para já são:
So far my favorite models are:

Espero que estejam tão inspiradas como eu!
I hope you are feeling as inspired as I am!

you are totally reading my mind with these patterns,, great choice, I hope you get your supplies soon, I know you really want to reproduce that organza blouse
I have to say that I am disappointed in Patrones, they should step up there game like BWOF and make an english version to there magazine so it will be available in the US. I know they had loyal US supporters that search ebay to get a copy of there issue each month paying twice the worth to get it in there hot little hand,, that being said,, awesome post

So many wonderful patterns to choose from! I can't wait to see what you pick next!

I subscribe to Burda too and also love that particular issue. The knit dress is also on my 'to sew' list :)

Toya: I'm sympathetic with your point of view and I believe the editor could make a good profit if these magazines were available in the US. I would also vote for better instructions because with Patrones, even if you know Spanish, you can't rely on the instructions. These patterns are not easy to make. I compare them to Marfy patterns.

Tany,

Adorei o vestido crema, divinal!

You picked all my favorite dresses from that issue of Burda (such a great issue too)! Of course, I didn't need to know that the Fiesta issue of Patrones had such good stuff. I wasn't planning to buy that one, but now.... Sigh. :)

You managed to pick all of my favorites from this issue of BWOF. There's going to be a lot of summer sewing the next few weeks.

Hmmm. . . I like quite a few of those! I'm going to have to at least take a look at Patrones, now, too. I have a few Marfy patterns, so lack of instructions or poor translations don't bother me.

I like Burda 122, 123, and 102 the best as well as the Patrones you picked out.

Tany - ALL of them are wonderful! You're more than 10 years younger than I, but if I was your age I'd make much the same choices style-wise. This was a fun post to read because I can live vicariously through you and pretend I'm a young thing again! Phyllis
